BILLINGS – A fire that destroyed two garbage trucks on Billings South Side early Wednesday is under investigation.
The fire was reported at 1:16 a.m. at 344 Nall Ave., which houses Republic Services’ office and yard.
Deputy Fire Marshal Andrew McLain with the Billings Fire Department said the two trucks received heavy fire damage to the interior of the cabs, and are considered a total loss.
Damages are estimated at $200,000.
Two other trucks received minor exterior heat damage.
No other details were released and the cause is under investigation.
