ROUNDUP – A small plane crashed late Monday night near Roundup while attempting to land at the town’s airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Allen Kenitzer, an FAA spokesman, said the pilot was the only one on board.

Wreckage from the Cessna 1-50, which was registered in Canada, was discovered early Tuesday morning.

Fenitzer said he had no information on the condition of the pilot.
