2 people dead in overnight crash just north of Great Falls

Two people died in an overnight crash just north of Great Falls on Saturday.

The crash happened along Bootlegger Trail near the intersection with Bootlegger Lateral.

The Montana Highway Patrol was notified of the crash at about 3:25 a.m.

The MHP says that a 50-year old man and a 28-year old woman died after being thrown from the vehicle by the force of the rollover crash.

According to the MHP, speed may have been a factor in the crash; they are still investigating to determine whether alcohol or impaired driving were involved.

The names of the two people have not yet been released; we will update you when we get more information.
