GREAT FALLS — The Toole County Health Department in Shelby confirmed Wednesday the county's third death due to COVID-19, bringing the state total to five deaths with at least 208 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Gov. Steve Bullock on Tuesday said that 32 COVID-19 patients have recovered since coronavirus was confirmed in Montana just over two weeks ago.
The Toole County Health Department said in a press release that is has also confirmed a sixth case of COVID-19 in the county.
"We know this virus is deadly and now that reality has hit home in a terrible, tragic way," the release states. "You as a community need to come together and stop this by following guidance provided. We are working diligently around the clock to stop the spread and keep our community informed."
Editor's note: A previous version of this story incorrectly reported six deaths. The Madison County health department said Johns Hopkins University had mistakenly reported an addition death in Madison County. The Johns Hopkins database has been corrected.
