BUTTE – This month’s A Waiting Child is an active 15-year-old girl named Helen.
Helen enjoys sports and kids. She’s also someone who has overcome many challenges in her life as well.
“She’s a kiddo who’s had a long history with mental illness. That’s going to continue to be her battle through her life, so she’s going to need a family that can help her through those ups and downs because they’re going to be with her throughout her life,” said Helen’s sponsor Stacie Miller. “She’s also a kid who can be very loving and carring, who truly wants a family wants what’s best for her and cares about her.”
“I don’t care what kind of parents I have, I just want them to care about me and want their trust,” Helen said.
“Helen would love to have younger siblings and I think she’d do well with younger kids,” Miller told MTN News. “She loves to play the big sister.”
“Because I like kids and they’re cute,” Helen said.
