BOZEMAN — Two stranded snowmobilers were rescued safely Saturday afternoon near Big Sky.
According to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, the two men, a 46-year-old man from Redstone, and a 27-year-old man from Billings were stuck in a drainage up Buck Ridge as dark was approaching.
Gallatin County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue in Big Sky and two Canyon Adventure snowmobile guides responded. The snowmobilers were carrying a reliable means of communication, which allowed rescuers to locate them quickly.
The men were in good condition and once rescuers helped them get unstuck, they were able to make it safely back to the trailhead.
