FRENCHTOWN – A California man died in a one-vehicle rollover accident early Thursday morning near Frenchtown.
A Montana Highway Patrol dispatcher said the accident happened around 12:35 a.m. at the intersection of Frenchtown Frontage Road and Broken Arrow Lane near Frenchtown.
The dispatcher said the 54-year-old man was traveling west on the Frenchtown Frontage Road when he drove off the road while negotiating a left-hand curve. The driver then over-corrected causing his pickup truck to roll over.
The man was taken to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula where he died. He was the only person in the pickup truck and authorities said drugs are suspected as a possible factor in the crash.
