BILLINGS – It’s a big night for the Billings YWCA and its mission to end violence against women and children.
The 2018 Salute celebrates and honors high-achieving women and their support of the YWCA and an organization committed to the community.
As many as 400 people in attendance for the dinner, live auction and award program at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
Salute also honors men.
Mike Brown, president of First Interstate Bank accepted the Exemplary Philanthropy award for his company.
Ben Halverson, attorney for the city of Billings, is the Individual who Advocates for Women.
Four were honored with the Women of Achievement Award:
- Carol Burton – CEO, United Way of Yellowstone County
- Liz Ching – Business Development Specialist with the Governors Office of Economic Development…
- Kathy Cross – Community volunteer
- Lenette Kosovich – CEO, Rimrock Foundation.
The YWCA has been raising money for its Gateway Vista apartments, a shelter set to open this summer.
