Q2 Weather Update: Spring has Sprung for the Weekend

Posted

Saturday Afternoon Update:

Beautiful spring conditions out there right now. If you do not work on weekends and you are out there playing golf or otherwise enjoying the weather right now I am officially jealous.

Clouds and some fog held off this morning and the sun broke through early and allowed us to heat up past the forecasted high by early in the afternoon.

Things should stay mostly the same for the afternoon and evening. There is some moderate instability bubbling over the region which could produce a stray shower or two but likely not enough to put a damper on what feels like our first real spring day.

Tomorrow looks like a very similar day albeit a bit warmer, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures that will likely eclipse sixty. Monday starts off in much the same way, with sun and warm temperatures. Monday will be the warmest day of the week and temperatures could get into the upper sixties. By Monday evening the pacific system that will bring showers to the western portion of the state tomorrow will push into our area. There is a good chance for showers Monday night and into Tuesday.

As the system pushes through it will likely leave us with gusty, dry conditions for the evening on Tuesday into Wednesday.

For now, make the most of the great spring conditions and feel free to send pictures of your favorite spring activity or vista to weather@ktvq.com
