BILLINGS – The Billings National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 9 p.m. for parts of southeastern Montana. Only one county is included in this watch for Montana and that is Carter County
Large thunderstorms with 1-inch hail or a larger are possible, along with gusty winds exceeding 57 mph.
At this time a line of thunderstorms is developing over the Black Hills of South Dakota and moving northeast.
A severe thunderstorm watch means that severe thunderstorms may develop in and around the watch area.
