BILLINGS – Yellowstone County voters had no shortage of choices to fill two new judgeships in Tuesday’s primary election.
Five candidates are vying to separate themselves from the pack in the voting for District Court Department 7. In the early returns, Colette Davies was running away from the field with 47 percent of the votes.
Deputy City Attorney Thomas Pardy was running second with 18 percent of the vote, and the top two vote-getters will advance to face off against each other in November.
Tied for third place with 14 percent of the vote were Teague Westrope and Alexander Roth, with Yvette Lefrentz trailing at just seven percent.
In the race for Department 8, Juli Pierce was polling 60 percent of the Yellowstone County vote, while Ashley Harada had 40 percent. Both will advance to meet again in November.
