Q2 Weather: Shifting mainly away from storms toward heat

Posted

The focus the next couple of days will be on warming temperatures. But don’t rule those thunderstorms out.

High temperatures Friday will be similar to Thursday, with readings in the mid-70s to mid-80s.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and this evening. Storms will focus mainly over the mountains and foothills, and in portions of southeast Montana and northern Wyoming.

Saturday will be warmer and dry with highs in the 80s to low 90s.

Sunday cools down substantially with a better chance for showers and thunderstorms. A strong cold front will also produce areas of wind.

Billings forecast:

Friday…Mostly sunny with a high near 83.  Isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Friday night…Isolated evening storms.  Otherwise partly cloudy with a low of about 58.

Saturday…Sunny and hot with a high around 91.
