COLUMBUS – Searchers have narrowed down the area of the Yellowstone River north of Reed Point where they believe they will find a man missing since the weekend.
The Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office said in a Thursday release that they are resuming their search and exploring options with certified options to recover the body of Brandon Fitch, 20 of Columbus.
Fitch fell off the Yellowstone Bridge Saturday. Authorities are calling it a recovery operation.
Hazardous river conditions have made the search difficult and caused delays.
Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office, Stillwater County Search and Rescue, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, and K-9 teams from Western Montana Search Dogs, and Absaroka Search Dogs are all involved in the search.
