Tornado warning issued for Big Horn, Wyoming County

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for Big Horn, Wyoming County until 12:00 PM.

At 11:28 a.m. a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 18 miles south of Otto, or 23 miles southwest of Basin, moving east at 25 mph.

Flying debris could be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes could be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles could occur. Tree damage is likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southern Big Horn and northwestern Washakie Counties.
