Q2 Weather: Another cool, unsettled day for Billings

Posted

Billings continues our clean track record of avoiding the worst of major storms this summer. The storm that rolled just to our west went on to drop heavy hail and cause major damage in Lovell, Wyoming.

Here in Billings the official record will go down as only trace precipitation.

The conditions that allowed storms to develop yesterday and still mostly in place today and we can expect another round of scattered evening storms. However the risk for severe weather has shifted to the southwest, so the chance of large hail and strong winds is lessened for today.

We continue our cool pattern as temperatures for Friday will likely crest below the 80 degree mark once again.

Saturday looks similar with cooler temperatures and some scattered rain and storms still in the area.

Sunday is when the pattern starts to shift as a ridge builds into the area and clears skies and brings warmer air back into the region.

By the middle of next week temperatures should once again be above 90.
