Update 9:15 p.m. One man was arrested without incident at a home near Rose Park in Billings, ending a police standoff that lasted for more than three hours.

Billings Police Officer Tom Keightley said a man was under suspicion in a police investigation, which is why the SWAT team and a K9 officer were called in.

Police did not say if others were in the home, or if the man arrested was the individual who was the suspect who led police to the house in the first place.

Keightley gave few details about how the man was apprehended and detained about 9:10 p.m., saying only there were no injuries.

BILLINGS- About 10 police cars surrounded a home on the 2200 block of Avenue B Thursday evening in an apparent standoff.

A sound similar to a flash bang grenade was heard around 7:50 p.m. on the block by Rose Park, and an officer was calling through a bullhorn for the person inside to come out to settle peacefully.

Police have closed Avenue B at 22nd Street West for one or two blocks and 22nd Street West from Grand Avenue to at least Avenue C.

A Q2 reporter and photographer are on the scene.

This is a developing story.
