BILLINGS – Tuesday marked the first day absentee ballots became available for in-person voting at county election offices.
Democratic candidate for Congress, Kathleen Williams, took advantage of the moment.
A crowd joined Williams on the Yellowstone County Courthouse lawn Tuesday morning.
One of 11 rallies across Montana on Tuesday, guest speakers lead voters in casting their early ballots.
Late registration for the general election begins on Wednesday, and absentee ballots are scheduled to be mailed out on Friday.
Other speakers across the state Tuesday included Gov.r Steve Bullock in Helena, Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney in Butte, and Sharla Tester in Great Falls, who is the wife of U.S. Sen. Jon Tester.
