BILLINGS- The Billings City Council picked the man it hopes will be its next city administrator.

The council met in the city chambers and unanimously chose Chris Kukulski, on Wednesday, according to Councilman Chris Friedel.

Kukulski worked as the Bozeman city administrator from 2004-2017 and, most recently, with Zoot Enterprises in Bozeman.

“I’ve been fortunate,” said Kukulski. “Been in Montana working in local government for the better part of the last 20 years…it’s just been really exciting so I am looking forward to continuing that work and working closer with the people here in Billings.”

Kukulski told MTN on Thursday he was given a contract to look over, and hopes to have everything worked out and signed sometime next week.

Kukulski was one of four finalists who met with the public Tuesday.
