BILLINGS- Early numbers in Yellowstone County show voters are favoring Republican Don Jones for commissioner.

With over 40,600 votes into the elections office, Jones is up by 55% compared to 45% of votes for incumbent Democrat Robyn Driscoll.

Jones has served as a Montana legislator.

Before being appointed to the commission, Driscoll was a state senator and was education coordinator for the Billings Public Schools.

Driscoll was appointed to the county commission by Commissioners Jim Reno and John Ostlund in 2016 after Bill Kennedy resigned his seat.
