HUNTLEY – Carter County Sheriff Neil Kittlemann confirm Saturday, the family killed in a crash on Eastbound Interstate 94, about six miles east of I-90, is the Dean family from North Dakota.

Anthony Dean and Chelsi Dean were traveling with their two children to spend Thanksgiving with Chelsi Dean’s grandmother.

Troopers say the crash happened on Thursday at 7 a.m. and the call came in at 8 pm on Friday.

A 2017 Toyota 4Runner went into the median, traveled between the eastbound and westbound bridge decks, hit a concrete support pillar and came to a stop in a creek.

The highway patrol reported a 25-year old man, a 25-year old woman, a 5-year old girl and a 1-year old girl were killed.

Speed is a factor and the road conditions unknown, according to the MHP.
