BILLINGS – Billings are law enforcement is investigating two recent robberies.
The most recent occurred Monday shortly after 4 p.m. at the Billings Army Navy Surplus Store on North 29th Street.
Billings police said on Twitter that store staff attempted to stop a shoplifter who then presented a knife and fled.
Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrested a 48-year-old man. His name was not released and no other information was provided.
At 1602 hrs the PD was sent to a robbery at Army Navy at 10 N 29th. Staff at the store attempted to stop a shoplifter who presented a knife and fled. Officers located the suspect, a local 48 year old male. The suspect was taken into custody. Inv is ongoing. Sgt Lennick

A separate robbery is under investigation by the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office.
The Market Basket on the I-90 Frontage Road near the ZooMontana Exit was robbed Sunday by a suspect armed with a pistol, according to the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
The suspect was described as a “skinny male” of average height wearing a tan cap with sunglasses, a yellow bandanna, gray gloves and a gray sweatshirt.
