BILLINGS – A male driver, who police suspect was drunk, struck and knocked down a power poll on First Avenue South in Billings Monday night, causing a partial road closure.
At around 8:30 p.m. Monday, a male drunk driver, heading westbound on First Ave. South, crashed into an electric and phone pole.
The driver hit the pole about 8:30 p.m., causing the road closure from South 31st Street to South 30th Street.
According to Billings police, the man was driving a truck and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say he was awake and communicating.
Police say they suspect alcohol is a factor and the crash remains under investigation.
