BILLINGS- Following her win in the November election, Colette Davies was officially sworn in as a judge on Friday at the Yellowstone County Courthouse.
Davies will serve the 13th Judicial District, department seven, which covers Yellowstone County.
Davies is a former partner at Bishop, Heenan and Davies and her career has spanned more than two decades, including a stint as a Billings city court judge.
Donald Harris, a current 13th Judicial Court Judge and Davies’ former boss in private practice, called Davies a “rock” in her commitment to the community.
Davies specializes in insurance law but has a wide range of expertise including a focus on human rights matters.
