FORSYTH – A 21-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday west of Forsyth.
Rosebud County Coroner Frank Arb identified the man as Landen Moreland of Forsyth.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, Moreland was traveling south on Reservation Creek Road near Old Highway 10 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn.
The 2001 GMC Sierra he was driving left the road and struck a tree.
When the pickup truck struck the tree it became engulfed in flames.
There were no other passengers in the truck and no other vehicles were involved.
The crash is still under investigation but the patrol says alcohol and speed are suspected factors.
