CROW AGENCY – People in Crow Agency are still without clean drinking water after a water main break occurred last week.

In a press release today, Crow tribal officials say they have been working closely with the Bureau of Indian Affairs to restore clean water to the Crow Agency community.

The Crow Water Plant is currently not operational, according to the press release.

The Crow Water Plant staff have worked around the clock to restore water pressure at the plant and bring water toxicity levels to compliance standards.

According to the release this process does take time for water plant operators to produce the right chemical dosage for the water plant. Due to the B.I.A. water plant loss of water pressure, water line breaks, and spring runoff, this process has become an arduous task for crews to bring the B.I.A. water plant, to full efficiency.

This leaves the B.I.A. water plant alone as the soul provider of water to the Crow Agency community.

Residents in Crow Agency are still advised to boil their water before using.
