BILLINGS – We’re in for a cool and wet Easter Sunday.

A passing cold front made its way through Montana early Saturday, but breaks in the clouds allowed for some sporadic sunshine at times, especially in south central and southeast Montana.

Rain showers will be widespread and will increase Saturday afternoon through Sunday.

Up to 12 inches of snow could fall in the higher mountain elevations. However, only rain and snow mixed is expected in the area foothills and the Red Lodge area early Sunday morning.

Easter Sunday weather will be rainy and cooler than average with highs in the 40s and 50s.
