Yellowstone County added seven new confirmed COVID-19 cases Monday afternoon as the Montana totals rose above 300, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracker.
Montana cases rose to 319 in this latest tally, and Yellowstone County now has 47 cases.
Monday is also the last day the state is releasing new numbers twice a day in the morning and afternoon. New releases will now come once a day between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
State officials said they want Montana Public Health staff to prioritize processing a rising number of tests while also providing updates to the public.
The Yellowstone County cases included two women in their 20s, a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 40s, a man in his 60s and a man in his 70s.
Carbon County reported its second positive case, a woman in her 40s. Flahead County reported five new cases, Missoula County three, Gallatin County two and Lewis and Clark County one.
The state completed 196 new tests Monday and has completed 6,985 since the beginning of the outbreak.
The death toll remained unchanged in the state at 6. Montana has had 24 hospitalizations for COVID-19.
