The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services reported one new confirmed COVID-19 case and one presumptive positive case at the Montana State Hospital on Wednesday.

Both are patients in a group home with four other individuals.

According to a news release, one patient is experiencing minor symptoms, and the other is showing no symptoms. The other four residents are not experiencing symptoms. All of the group home residents and staff will be tested.

The group home is not connected to main hospital facility where most of the hospital's patients reside.

The state also reported that a second staff member tested positive for the virus on July 19, following the first report of a staff member testing positive on July 17.

That brings the total number of cases associated with the Montana State Hospital to four.

Contact tracing is underway to determine if all the cases are connected.

The Montana State Hospital is located west of Butte in Warm Springs and is the only public psychiatric hospital in the state.
