Big Horn County reported four new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday afternoon, all children under the age of 10.
These latest cases, two boys and two girls, were found through contact tracing of previous cases and bring the total active cases in the county to 16, according to Health Officer Rhonda Johnson.
Big Horn County has now reported 53 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the outbreak. Of those cases, 34 have recovered, 16 are active and three have died.
These new cases bring the total reported in Montana over the last 24 hours to 24. Richland County reported two new cases Wednesday morning, and the state reported 18 new cases a few hours earlier.
Montana now has 636 cases. MTN is reporting one fewer total case and one fewer recovered case due to a case in Jefferson County that local health authorities report involved a patient who was not in the state.
The number of active cases statewide rose to 78.
