According to a release from the Big Horn County Public Information office, Big Horn County added nine additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Five of the newly-confirmed cases presented with symptoms when tested and likely contracted the virus through community spread, as there are no known contacts with previous cases at this time. Four patients were tested as a result of contact with previously-confirmed positive patients and were asymptomatic when tested.
The new cases are as follows:
One male under the age of 10, a female age 10-19, three females in their 20s, one female in her 30s, one female in her 40s, one female in her 50s and one male in his 50s.
Recoveries in Big Horn County increased by 107 to 370. There have been 13 deaths. Of the 187 active cases, 170 patients are quarantining and recovering at home. The number of Big Horn County resident patients currently hospitalized decreased by three to 17.
