According to a Facebook post from the Dawson County Health Department, health officials are announcing that four individuals tested positive for COVID-19 at the Eastern Montana Veteran's Facility in Glendive on Aug. 14.

The positive tests were two employees and two residents of EMVH. No residents have been hospitalized due to COVID-19.

The positive results were identified through routine surveillance testing that has been occurring for several months at the facility, according to the post.

Below are excerpts from the post:

"Efforts have been made to test every employee and resident at EMVH, with some results still pending. EMVH management reports that it is in the process of notifying all residents and their representatives of the outbreak and their test results.

EMVH is following all state guidelines for a COVID-19 outbreak in a senior living facility, including isolating residents who have tested positive and to quarantine residents who have been exposed to the virus, even if they have tested negative. EMVH is setting up separate living situations for residents who have tested positive and those who have tested negative. Staff caring for those residents are also being segregated, thus reducing the likelihood of cross-contamination."
