Local health officials reported a dozen additional confirmed COVID-19 cases in Missoula County on Wednesday.
There were 62 active cases and the Missoula City-County Health Department outlined where the suspected active COVID-19 cases are coming from.
Statistics show that of the currently active cases, 34% are community spread, 31% are close contacts to a confirmed case; 21% are travel-related and the origination of 14% of the cases are still pending.
The Missoula City-County Health Department was reporting a cumulative positive case* total of 232 on Wednesday -- including three epi-linked cases**
To date, there have been 169 recoveries and one death. Four out-of-county people are hospitalized in Missoula County due to COVID-19.
Missoula became the first major city in Montana to require the wearing of face coverings on July 9.
