The latest numbers from the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map indicate Montana has added 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 10 of which are in Big Horn County.
Big Horn County announced the positive cases Friday evening and now has 25 active cases.
The new cases includes a boy and a girl under the age of 10, one female and three males between 10 and 19, a woman in her 20s, a woman in her 30s, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 60s.
None of Friday's positive cases tested at surveillance testing sites held at different sites in the county last week and this week. One of the positive cases was showing symptoms, while the other nine positive tests were done through contact tracing with others known to have the disease.
Montana is reporting 505 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, but MTN is reporting one fewer total case and one fewer recovered case due to a case in Jefferson County that local health authorities report involved a patient who was not in the state.
The prior 24-hour testing period saw 755 new tests conducted, moving the state total to 39,284. There have been 67 total hospitalizations in the state, two of which are currently active.
There have been 448 people to recover from the disease. There have been 17 deaths in the state.
There are 40 active cases in Montana, with 25 in Big Horn County and three in Yellowstone County.
