Montana COVID-19 cases rise to 217 on Wednesday afternoon

Carbon County reported its first case of COVID-19 Wednesday afternoon as the Montana total rose to 217, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracker.

The patient is a man in his 40s.

In Yellowstone County, one new case was reported, a man in his 20s, bringing the county's total to 32.

Gallatin County reported three new cases, Flathead County two new cases and and Missoula and Park counties each reported one new case.

Montana has had five deaths and 17 hospitalizations from the disease.

The state completed 170 new tests Wednesday and has conducted 5,088 since the outbreak began.
