Montana state health officials reported 111 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map.
Yellowstone County reported the highest number of new cases with 56. The county now has a total cumulative number of 1,595 coronavirus cases, with 650 active cases.
Rosebud County reported 18 new cases, and Big Horn County added nine new cases. Big Horn County also reported its 14th COVID-19 death on Wednesday morning. The state total number of deaths is 84, according to state health officials.
(Note: State health officials and Big Horn County have reported different death totals for the past week. MTN has reached out to Big Horn County for clarification and they said they believe the state is still reporting the death of a tribal member who lived over the county line. Based on that, MTN's figures reflect 14 deaths in Big Horn County and will be adjusted once the county and state reconcile their data.)
The remaining new cases were spread across 16 Montana counties.
