Montana reports 25 new COVID-19 cases (Thursday, June 18)

Montana state health officials reported 25 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the largest single day increase since March, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map.

The new cases are spread across 10 Montana counties, including four new cases each in Big Horn County, Flathead County and Gallatin County.

Yellowstone County reports three new cases, and there were two new cases reported in each Carbon County, Fergus County, Missoula County, and Richland County.

The new cases in Fergus County are the first to be reported there.

There was one new case in each Lake County and Valley County.

The total cumulative cases statewide stands at 655, according to state health officials. MTN is reporting one fewer total case and one fewer recovered case due to a case in Jefferson County that local health authorities report involved a patient who was not in the state.

There are now 90 active cases across the state, up from 72 from the previous 24-hour reporting period.

A total of 545 people have recovered from the virus. The number of current hospitalizations increased from five to eight. The number of deaths remain at 20.

The number of tests statewide now stands at 66,870, an increase of 1,355 since the previous reporting period.
