Montana state health officials reported five additional deaths and 155 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map.
Flathead and Yellowstone counties both reported 21 new coronavirus cases, followed by Missoula County with 20 new cases. Phillips County added 16 cases, and Big Horn County added 13. The other new cases are spread across 21 other Montana counties.
Two additional deathswere reported Thursday on the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation, and three additional deaths were reported Thursday in Big Horn County. The state death toll now stands at 70.

The total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Montana is now reported at 4,757. There have been 3,122 recoveries, and currently there are 1,565 active cases in the state.
Yellowstone County continues to have the highest number of active cases with 533. Big Horn County has 255 active cases, and Flathead County reports 180 active cases.
There are currently 84 people hospitalized with the virus. The total number of tests increased by 1,941 during the previous 24-hour reporting period and the total number of tests now stands at 187,756.
