Montana reports 792 new COVID-19 cases (Oct. 29)

There were 792 new COVID-19 cases reported in Montana on Friday, Oct. 29, with 11,149 total active cases in the state, according to the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS).

There were 17 new deaths reported in the state on Friday, all since Oct. 24, 2021, in the following counties: Cascade (2), Custer (1), Granite (2), Lewis and Clark (5), Phillips (1), Powder River (1), Sheridan (1), Teton (1), Toole (1), and Yellowstone (2).

The total number of Montanans who have died due to COVID-19 is now 2,346, according to DPHHS.

The number of people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 is 433, down from 454 reported on Thursday.

The cumulative number of hospitalizations in Montana due to the virus is 8,794.

There have been 175,847 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Montana. The cumulative number of recoveries is now 162,352. There have been 8,157 COVID-19 tests administered since the last DPHHS report.

An estimated 55% of eligible residents are now vaccinated, with 505,038 Montanans now considered fully vaccinated. The total number of doses administered is 1,094,070.
