Montana state health officials reported two additional deaths and 504 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, according to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map.
The number of cases reported Tuesday set a new single day record high, surpassing the previous record set on Oct. 2.
The state death toll from the virus now stands at 192. The two additional deaths were reported in Glacier and Stillwater counties.
There have been 15,347 total cumulative cases in the state since the first Montana case was reported in March, and there have been 10,172 recoveries. There are currently 4,983 active cases in Montana.
Flathead County had the largest spike in new cases on Tuesday with 124. That county now has a total of 1,511 cases with 846 active cases and 19 deaths.
Glacier County reported 58 new cases, and Missoula County added 49. Gallatin and Yellowstone counties each added 46 cases Tuesday.
Yellowstone County has the highest number of active cases with 1,021, and there have been 69 deaths in the county.
The remaining new cases were spread across 30 Montana counties.

There have been 372,720 tests for the virus performed, an increase of 2,745 during the previous 24-hour reporting period.
