BUTTE - Town Pump is donating $1 million to 100 food banks, pantries and shelters in 83 communities around Montana.
Town Pump, based in Butte, wants to help people who are suffering from food insecurity as the coronavirus continues, and food banks need to keep shelves stocked.
“Food banks are telling us that they have a need to buy food, and so we're giving them the cash they need quickly so that they can place their orders and get the food in to help the people,” said Bill McGladdery with Town Pump.
The grant funds require no matching funds from the communities they are servicing.
