BILLINGS - Yellowstone County health officials reported Tuesday an additional death due to COVID-19.
RiverStone Health said in a press release that on Monday, Sept. 7, a woman in her 80s who resided at a senior living facility in the county died at a hospital.
No other information about the woman was released. Her death was reflected on the Montana COVID-19 daily report from state health officials, the agency said.
“My sincerest condolences to the deceased woman’s family and friends,” said John Felton, Yellowstone County health officer and RiverStone Health president and CEO.
“Since September 1, five Yellowstone County residents have passed away from COVID-19 related illness. Too many Montanans have lost their life to COVID-19 and more than 40% of them have been our Yellowstone County friends and neighbors,” said Felton.
To date, 2,310 Yellowstone County residents have been infected with COVID-19 and 49 have died.
