BILLINGS — A man in his sixties died in a Yellowstone County hospital of COVID-19 on Sept. 25, according to a Sunday media release from RiverStone Health.

“So far we’ve lost 18 Yellowstone County residents this month due to COVID-19. That is one person every day and a half and matches the number of lives lost in August to this tragic disease," wrote John Felton, Yellowstone County health officer.

This most recent death was reflected in the Sunday state COVID-19 tracking map, according to the release.

To date, 3,206 Yellowstone County residents have been infected with COVID-19 and 64 have died.

"In August 1,046 residents became infected with COVID-19 and 1,113 have become infected this month. With several days left in September, we are definitely trending worse than last month,” wrote Felton.
