BILLINGS - RiverStone Health reported Wednesday another Yellowstone County resident has died due to COVID-19 related illness.
According to a press release, a man in his 80s who resided in a Yellowstone County senior living facility passed away Tuesday at a hospital in Yellowstone County due to COVID-19 related illness.
His death is reflected on the Wednesday, September 9 state COVID-19 tracking map, the press release states.
To protect the privacy of the deceased and his family, RiverStone Health will not release further information.
“I extend my wishes for peace and comfort to family and friends of the deceased as they grieve the loss of their loved one,” said John Felton, Yellowstone County Health Officer and President and CEO of RiverStone Health. “Fifty Yellowstone County residents have lost their lives to COVID-19 since mid-April. Fifty families have experienced the heartache and sorrow of losing a loved one too soon. It is up to all of us to help ensure that more families do not have to bury their loved ones due to untimely passing from COVID-19. Please wear your mask, watch your distance, wash your hands and stay home if you are ill.”
To date, 2,319 Yellowstone County residents have been infected with COVID-19 and 50 have died.
