KALISPELL – A man is facing a murder charge after a late Wednesday night fatal shooting in Hungry Horse.

Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry said deputies were dispatched at shortly before 11:45 p.m. after receiving reports of the shooting.

Deputies arrived to find Bradley Allen Winters, 33 of Hungry Horse, dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

An investigation determined that several individuals were involved in a physical altercation outside the victim’s residence.

Curry said that during the fight a handgun was pulled out and several rounds were fired with one hitting Winters in the chest.

The shooter, who was identified as James William Quen, 47 of Martin City, was found before 1 a.m. on Thursday and arrested, Curry said in a press release.

Quen has initially been charged with deliberate homicide and is being held at the Flathead County jail.
