Wisconsin man accused of shooting needle-tipped Nerf darts at children

PORTAGE, Wis. – A 33-year-old man has been charged with child abuse for allegedly shooting Nerf darts tipped with needles at his stepchildren.

Brian Alexander was charged Monday with three counts of child abuse.

Columbia County Sheriff’s Office investigators said they spoke with three of Alexander’s stepchildren, ages 6 to 9. The children reported him shooting Nerf gun darts with needles attached to them, according to a criminal complaint.

One child showed small red marks.

Court documents state Alexander originally denied shooting at the children with the needle darts but eventually admitted to authorities to shooting at the three children with needle darts once.
