MISSOULA – A 61-year-old Flathead County man has denied several counts of selling and possessing illegal firearms, including explosives and a machine gun.

Bruce Boone Wann made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court last week on charges stemming from an investigation that led to his arrest last June.

Federal prosecutors allege Wann sold the illegal weapons and explosives to another person in Marion, Kila and Kalispell.

The explosives included an “improvised grenade” and dynamite.

Wann is also accused of the illegal sales of an RPB Model M-10 machine gun, another rifle with no serial numbers, a sawed-off .22, a stolen AR-15 and shotgun and silencers.

Judge Dana Christensen ordered Wann to be at a pre-trial conference next Wednesday. A trial date hasn’t been set.

The judge also granted an order protecting the identity of informants who had been used in the case, except to defense attorneys.
