Investigation underway after shots fired at Kalispell duplex

KALISPELL — An investigation is underway after shots were fired at a Kalispell residence early on Saturday morning.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to the 1500 block of 7th Avenue West shortly after midnight after receiving reports of shots fired in the area.

Kalispell Police Chief Doug Overman said that when officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that multiple rounds had been fired into a duplex. Rounds also struck other nearby residences.

One minor injury was reported but the victim declined medical treatment, according to a news release. One residence took most of the rounds, with the others being struck during the shooting.
