"Person of interest" sought in Lewistown shooting death

LEWISTOWN - Police in Lewistown are investigating the shooting death of a man and have named a "person of interest" in the case.

Central Montana Dispatch received a 911 call at about 5:35 a.m. on Saturday requesting medical assistance for a gunshot wound on the 100 block of Crystal Drive in Lewistown.

Officers found a deceased 52-year-old man at the scene. The name of the man has not yet been released.

Police say that foul play is suspected and are searching for a man they call a "person of interest." The man's name is Doug Foster, 47. He was seen leaving the area in a 1995 green Toyota Tacoma flatbed with Montana Plate 8-31182A.

Police say that Foster may be armed, and advise that if you see him or the pickup you should not approach him. Call 911 immediately.
