BILLINGS- With Hurricane Lane bearing down on the islands of Hawaii and the devastating effects of the 2017 season still fresh in the minds of many, hurricanes are once again in the national spotlight.
But for all the attention hurricanes garner and the meteorological attention directed at properly forecasting them, which is generally done very well, some terminology that meteorologists throw around can get glossed over.
