Republican Cynthia Lummis has been elected to the U.S. Senate in Wyoming, while GOP Rep. Lynn Cheney will retain her seat, according to The Associated Press.
Lummis, a former congresswoman, defeated Democrat Merav Ben-David to win the seat vacated by Sen. Mike Enzi, who is retiring.
Cheney defeated Democrat Lynnette Grey Bull and two other candidates for her second term as Wyoming's lone member of Congress.
The AP called both races shortly after polls closed at 7 p.m.
The AP also called Wyoming and its three electoral votes for President Donald Trump.
